About the Gates School PTO
The Gates School Parent Teacher Organization is an active parent/teacher group that supports school programs through volunteering and fundraising. The goals of the PTO are to provide enrichment programs for Gates students, to encourage parent involvement, to help fund classroom assistants and to promote communication between the school and families of Gates. We invite all Gates parents or guardians to attend our monthly meetings, with the exception of December and April, which are held on alternatively evening and morning meeting times. Come and meet other Gates parents while becoming informed on the school’s current issues.
The PTO also provides social events such as the Fall Social and the Ice Cream Social to help promote community spirit. We are fortunate to have very generous, caring parents and teachers who are willing to dedicate their time and energy to make Gates the wonderful place it is to grow and learn.
The PTO notifies the Gates Community about PTO sponsored events using our Connactivity email system. Parents and teachers are encouraged to join our confidential e-mail list used exclusively for school related information. The Gates Gazette (the school newsletter) and the PTO News Bulletin Board in the lobby are also important methods of communication.
